Jesse Langel, Esq., LL.M.
Jesse earned his law degree (J.D.) and Master of Laws in Taxation (LL.M.) at New York Law School. After practicing medical malpractice litigation, he volunteered to help consumer debtors during the Great Recession. "It just felt like the right way to deploy my legal skills," says Jesse. "Helping people through financial crisis brings a level of gratitude and empathy not found in other areas of law. It has been an absolute honor."
Seeing how underserved this market was, Jesse built a practice focused on protecting consumers from bank seizures, wage garnishments, and collection lawsuits. The firm has since expanded to defend businesses against predatory commercial lending, particularly merchant cash advances and future receivables agreements. We regularly challenge improper service, void usurious loans, vacate default judgments, and protect clients from abusive collection tactics.
Jesse D. Langel is admitted to practice in New York State courts, U.S. Tax Court, and Federal District Courts in New York. He is consistently ranked among the top three consumer protection lawyers in New York by 3BestRated.com.
Jesse's passion for legal practice and the rules of evidence shine through his debt-defense blog and evidence blog.
