New York City Debt Collection Defense Attorney

The Firm hires Sheril Stanford, J.D. to its Expanding Federal Practice

I am overjoyed to announce the addition of Sheril Stanford, J.D. to The Firm's rapidly growing federal, collection-abuse practice. As previously stated, we are aggressively suing debt collection agencies for violations of the Fair Debt Collection Act ("FDCPA") and the Fair Credit Reporting Act ("FCRA"), two federal statutes that require litigation in the Federal District Courts. Sheril has the skill set and experience to help establish The Firm's presence in the federal, consumer protection market.

Sheril earned her law degree from Vermont Law School. For 15 years, she rose through the ranks at Hale and Dorr, LLP, providing litigation support to Senior Partners in the areas of Intellectual Property and Securities litigation. Her dedication and leadership qualities landed her a managing position at its New York based Wilmer Hale office in 2004. There, she implemented marketing, personnel, and financial policies and strategies that have laid the groundwork that solidified that firm's New York presence.

Sheril's drafting, researching, and organizational skills have conferred instant value to The Firm's existing debt defense practice. With her on board on the federal side, the firm is destined to become a sharper, leaner litigation boutique delivering swift protection to New York consumers who have been taken advantage of by deceptive, unfair, and/or abusive debt collectors and debt settlement scams.
